Stone Circle Story

Stone Circle made in 1994 was one of the earliest of my environmental sculptures. Since it was made from pumice stones and a willow stick, it only survived long enough for me to make this photograph but its image and impact have lasted to this day.

Over 30 years Stone Circle has been used as a compelling metaphor for storytelling. It was used in Norway recently:

The story of human relationships to nature and each other is universal. If Stone Circle can help us come together and create a new human story for our common good it will have stood the test of time.
