Re-imagining the world

We were privileged to be selected for an end of year project titled NEXT: Re-Imagining the Post Pandemic World by Alasdair Foster of Talking Pictures, one of the most significant curators and writers on contemporary photography. This was his brief: If you had to pick one thing, how would you reimagine it for the better in the future? 

We submitted River Guardian and focused our piece on the big picture for the future expressing hope for what is next for humanity rather than just the post COVID world:

“We humans stand in the great river of time eventually to be washed away by it. Reimagining the world anew requires us to think about nature differently, not as separate but as part of us. We cannot stand in the same river twice, but we do affect rivers and they affect us. Our endless demand for economic growth for growth’s sake is destroying the earth’s living systems. In everything we do from now on we will consider nature on which life relies.”
